Les Miserables Costume Rental Plot

Description: 

This wardrobe plot indicates our interpretation of the costume rental needs of the production. It is intended to provide you with required costume changes and a feeling of the costume styles. Costumes outlined are in standard adult sizes-extremely large or small sizes may not be available. Also, specific colors and fabrics are not described due to new designs and availability in our stock (except where noted). Styles and accessories may vary.

Cast & Costume: 

Javert:

  1. Navy double-breasted military coat, vest, pants, shirt, and cravat.  Military shako hat
  2. Navy and gray military style suit, French bi-corn
  3. Simple frock coat and string tie
  4. Add overcoat and top hat

Valjean:

  1. Prison shirt and pants.  Add distressed overcoat
  2. Period frock suit
  3. Add Inverness overcoat
  4. Military coat over existing pants and shirt with boot tops

Chain Gang: Tattered shirts and pants

Prison Guards: Deep navy, red, and white uniform tail coats, vest, pants, French bi-corn hat

Bishop:

  1. Nightshirt, robe or shawl
  2. Clerical garment and baretta hat

Bishop’s sister:

  1. Nightclothes
  2. Dress and cap

Bishop’s servant:

  1. Bedclothes
  2. Day wear

Fantine:

  1. Blue calico empire work dress, mob cap
  2. Seedy unkempt street walker skirt, blouse, corset, cap, finger-less gloves, bloomers *Corset made from calico dress
  3. White nightgown

Factory Foreman: Shabby frock suit, shirt, vest, cravat

Factory workers: Women: Assorted calico skirts, blouses, bonnets, dresses, etc.  Men: Assorted pants, shirts, neckerchiefs, vests, etc

Constables: Same as prison guards

Pimp: Garish period tail jacket, colorful but shabby pants and vest, shirt, distressed top hat

Johns: Assorted street wear of the period

Lovely Ladies: Assorted tattered, unkempt skirts, chemise, corsets, hats, petticoats, bloomers, black spats

Nurses: Nun’s habits

Bamatabois: Fussy gentleman’s suit, hat

Beggars: Shabby shirts and pants, shawls, skirts, jackets, vests

Sailors: Assorted knickers, shirts, jackets, vests

Judge: Judges robe with white tab collar, shoulder sash

Onlookers: Assorted suits, shirts, jackets, shawls, etc

Young Eponine: Plain but nice blue dress, bonnet

Young Cosette:

  1. Torn and tattered top, pants, cap
  2. Black dress with lace collar (Quick change)

Thenardier:

  1. Ratty military coat, leather apron, pants, shirt, liberty cap, vest, socks
  2. Outdated brocade suit coat, knickers, jabot, vest, socks

Mme. Thenardier:

  1. Unkempt dress or skirt and blouse, apron
  2. Royal blue, yellow, pink gown

Students: Pants & shirt, with assorted cravats, vests, jackets, liberty caps, red/white/blue sashes

Cosette:

  1. Plain but elegant day dress and bonnet
  2. Wedding gown with veil, hoop, bloomers

Eponine:

  1. Skirt, chemise, cap, petticoat
  2. Chemise, pants, overcoat, and cap.  Add bloody chemise

Enjolras: Pants, shirt, cravat, red/white/blue sash, red vest with gold braiding

Marius:

  1. Tail or frock coat, shirt, cravat, vest, pants
  2. Black tails with white cravat and gloves

Gavroche: Tattered shirt and jacket, distressed pants, neckerchief, cap

Villagers: Assorted suits, shirts, jackets, shawls, some liberty caps, etc

Wedding Ladies: Assorted ball gowns with gloves, hats, hoops

Wedding Men: Black Victorian tailcoat, black pants, white brocade vest, white cravat
